Legacy DCS Forms New Development Group

Homebuilder Legacy DCS LLC has branched its real estate acquisition and development into a new division called Ledgestone Development Group.
The new Ledgestone Development Group is now the parent company for the slate of Legacy companies, including Legacy DCS LLC, Legacy Multi-Family Home Construction Services LLC and Brewer Design Studio LLC. Husband and wife Cass and Carrie Brewer are the president and principal/owner of the companies, respectively.
Legacy DCS was founded in 2008, focusing initially on building out subdivisions. Today, the company has nearly half a billion dollars in projects in its pipeline, according to Cass Brewer. Earlier this year, Inc.com ranked Legacy DCS No. 888 on its list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.
Some of Legacy’s area projects include The Addie at Westlake gated community, The Reserve at Lake Travis and a small neighborhood it calls Downtown Condos at Bouldin.
Ledgestone is now headquartered at 3101 Bee Cave Road. Cass Brewer will head the new development group. He said the reorganization is in preparation for rapid growth.
The custom homebuilder produces a fair amount of housing each year in a region starving for new stock. In 2020, the company closed on more than $30 million worth of custom homes.
Demand for new housing projects in Austin remains acute. In July, the Austin metro had only 3,294 active listings on the market, down 36% year over year.
Brewer said the company hopes to expand into another major market within the next couple of years. As it is, they’re seeing a significant amount of interest in the Austin market from outside investors.
“We’ve had groups from New York, people out of California, all looking to put money into Austin,” Brewer said. “Austin’s just an amazing market right now — we’re in our Super Bowl for construction development.”
